Just got home from a wonderful week-long stay at Verdun House in Natchitoches, Louisiana. I stayed in the "Savoie Verdun" side where every detail for a relaxing and comfortable stay was anticipated by Cindy and Wayne Verdun. They checked on me during the week to see if I had any needs and to be sure that I was enjoying my stay. I was honored to be one of their first guests. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay. I especially loved relaxing on the front porch while sitting in their comfortable swing. My wife was able to join me for a couple of nights, and she loved every detail from the dining table to the large comfortable bedroom. Cindy and Wayne are wonderful folks, and I can assure you they will treat you right! I highly recommend that you consider staying at Verdun House on your next extended visit to historic Natchitoches, Louisiana!

Verdun House is an oasis of peace. Its location is remarkable, sited as it is, in the heart of the Natchitoches Historic District. The iconic destinations of Natchitoches are literally a minute or two away . One could mingle with throngs of festival-goers, shop, sightsee, paddle on the Cane River, fill up on meat pies -- and then be right back “home” two minutes later. One would come home to a space steeped in history, silent witness to decades of living. Quiet luxury cocoons Verdun House guests. The restoration and decorating have been accomplished with a spot-on sense of place as well as a multitude of thoughtful touches designed to provide comfort and convenience. Verdun House is like Natchitoches itself -- as soon as one leaves, one is already planning the next visit.
